Four Graphs That Expose the Pandemic Collaborators
NY dictator/governor Kathy Hochul dictated this week that the state would remove its indoor mask mandate (except for schools and healthcare settings). It’s worth looking at how much the mask mandate helped New York.
Hochul announced the mandate on 10 December 2021. It was removed yesterday. How did NY do on cases during that time? Data from Worldometers.
Oof. Not so good. But hey, maybe the death data looks better.
Double oof. I guess it doesn’t look any better.
But we all knew the pandemic was terrible, right? Right? Well, if you were a Good Citizen, you knew it was a nightmare beyond the ability of any non-elite to deal with. That means that maybe, even though those New York graphs are bad, just maybe they would have been even worse if the mask mandates hadn’t been in place. Can you even imagine that? No of course you can’t, you’re not an elite. You shouldn’t even try, you might hurt yourself.
So right. Whether you can imagine it or not (you can’t! don’t try! government says!), maybe the omicron wave was even worse in states that didn’t have mask mandates. Let’s check in on, say, Florida, pretty much the most famous anti-mandate state that there is. They even had an anti-mandate law for schools. Also, they have virtually the same population size as New York (Florida is a bit larger). But brace yourself because Florida is also far older than New York (average age roughly 43 vs. 39; FL is the oldest state in the country in terms of percentage of the population over 65 while NY is 29th, 19% vs. 14.7%). So we should be expecting some horrible graphs here, right? Florida has one foot in the grave already, and they’re the same size or even a little bigger than NY. Ok. Take a few deep breaths in your safe space. Blow some bubbles. Draw in your Scooby-Doo coloring book. Are you ready to look now?
Cases in Florida.
Deaths in Florida.
Huh. Look at that. Florida has lower peak deaths per day, lower peak cases per day - in fact the graphs look almost identical. How could this be? Florida has a much older population, and they had no mask mandate at all. Stunning! But wait - what about that wave in the fall of 2021? Maybe Florida killed off all their vulnerable people. Let’s check the overall deaths during the pandemic. Surely there we will see the explanation for these puzzling graphs. Here we go: Florida 67k overall deaths, 3135 deaths/1M population, 19th out of 50 states. New York 67k overall deaths, 3430 deaths/1M population, 6th out of 50 states.
The masks don’t work. Everyone knows this or should know this. Scientists who continue to push for mask mandates are collaborators with tyrants.
